#BloggersNightOut

BLOG REPOST FROM AMEERA ON THE WALL

Magic City Fashion Week had their first event last night called Blogger's Night Out with Vic Styles at the Blue Monkey Lounge in Birmingham, Alabama. If you don't know Vic Styles, she is a well known blogger from Birmingham, Alabama who attended UAB. Last night was all about bloggers coming together to give advice, collab, and just get to know one another.

I learned so many things as a beginner last night from other beginners, as well as those who have been blogging for years. Every time someone opened their mouth they dropped a gem. Not only were there words of wisdom but the energy in the room was indescribable. There was so much love and black girl magic and it felt great being around people exactly like you with like aspirations. One thing that stuck with me the most was Vic explaining the benefits of manifestation and how she does it. It's something I hear about a lot but I never really knew how to do until last night. She said every day she just writes down at least ten things she wants to manifest into her life-something I will start doing starting yesterday!

Vic also put me on to editorial calendars, which is something I need to invest in. If you don't know, an editorial calendar is a calendar with upcoming posts, holidays and things happening in the culture. This is something every blogger needs and I'm sharing to pass the message because I know I'm not the only lost one. I was also told by Vic and other bloggers that being a beginner is exactly that. As a beginner you have to accept where you are and embrace it and just start your blog. Don't be afriad to start because you can only get better.

I also learned to not try to be the next whoever because there's always someone who needs someone like you. So be yourself and write your blog your way. Blogger's Night Out was a success and if you don't already follow Vic Styles you need to follow her. She's full of magic and such an inspiration. And if you missed out, don't be sad because Magic City Fashion Week has many more events in the future, follow their instagram so you won't miss out. Everyone should also check out the Blue Monkey Lounge, it's such a cute and quiet lounge with a great atmosphere and great drinks. It's an awesome spot for events like this or just to chill with your friends. Vic Styles:@thevicstyles  Magic City Fashion Week:@magiccityfashionweek
